Description

The 8th Plenary Meeting of NFDIxCS takes place from 22 to 23 September 2026 in Dresden during the INFORMATIK Festival. Around 50 consortium members come together to discuss the current state of activities and to coordinate the next development steps within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI).

The two-day programme combines plenary sessions with interactive workshop formats, fostering in-depth exchange across task areas. Discussions focus on both strategic and technical aspects of building a sustainable and FAIR-aligned research data infrastructure for computer science.

One of the key topics will be the recently completed interim report symposium. We will review the feedback received, discuss its implications, and integrate the outcomes into the next phase of NFDIxCS.

The plenary also provides a collaborative space for cross-disciplinary dialogue and joint problem-solving. By bringing together diverse expertise from across the consortium, the meeting supports coordinated service development and contributes to the consolidation of best practices in research data and software management within computer science.
