SUMMARY:8th NFDIxCS Plenary Meeting in Dresden
DESCRIPTION:The 8th Plenary Meeting of NFDIxCS takes place from 22 to 23 Se
 ptember 2026 in Dresden during the INFORMATIK Festival. Around 50 consortiu
 m members come together to discuss the current state of activities and to c
 oordinate the next development steps within the framework of the National R
 esearch Data Infrastructure (NFDI).\n\nThe two-day programme combines plena
 ry sessions with interactive workshop formats, fostering in-depth exchange 
 across task areas. Discussions focus on both strategic and technical aspect
 s of building a sustainable and FAIR-aligned research data infrastructure f
 or computer science.\n\nOne of the key topics will be the recently complete
 d interim report symposium. We will review the feedback received, discuss i
 ts implications, and integrate the outcomes into the next phase of NFDIxCS.
 \n\nThe plenary also provides a collaborative space for cross-disciplinary 
 dialogue and joint problem-solving. By bringing together diverse expertise 
 from across the consortium, the meeting supports coordinated service develo
 pment and contributes to the consolidation of best practices in research da
 ta and software management within computer science.
