Research Data Management in Informatics Sub Disciplines

At a two day meeting of the Council of the German Informatics Society (GI) in Siegburg, the Research Data Management working group had an intensive exchange with the representatives of the Technical Committees of GI

The German Informatics Society consits of 14 Technical Commitees with moren than 100 Special Interest Groups. The spokespersons of these Technical Committees are essential part of the Council representing the different subdisciplines of Computer Science.

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Lucke, Co-Spokesperson of the NFDIxCS-consortium and the head of the NFDI working group in GI: "It was a very promising start of the process for a continous dialogue with, between and within the Technical Committees of the Computer Science community in Germany. The challenges are huge since type, scope and state of development of Research Data Management differ greatly. But we're very confident to find ways to solve those issues within this dedicated community."
