Description
Version management deals with the management of files, regardless of their nature, type or size, including their archiving, logging of changes, recovery of older file versions, and access coordination. The main challenge is that one “version” involves multiple data types. To reproduce research results, you need to know the exact versions that were involved in its production. Task Area D1 area strives to provide guidelines for versioning that covers different data types. As a result of this task area, we will provide a service that users, i.e. researchers, can use to define such versions.
