NFDIxCS promotes FAIR Research Data Management and Software internationally

At the European Forum Alpbach, we emphasized the necessity of implementing the FAIR principles for research data and the software used in research. We highlighted how interdisciplinary collaboration can enhance these practices by connecting computer science with other scientific disciplines and the European administration.

During the Hack-Ma's Castle IT conference, we discussed the importance of community-driven solutions in RDM, fostering innovation in data management and software development. This event provided a collaborative environment where participants could share knowledge on developing sustainable, reusable data objects and software. One key takeaway was that scientists do not need to become IT specialists or data scientists, but there must be adequate resources for IT and data curation.

International events like these allow us to raise awareness for RDM, guiding young researchers toward responsible data handling practices and implementing FAIR principles in research data and software.
