NFDIxCS at the EOSC Symposium 2024
The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Symposium 2024, held in Berlin this October, was a milestone international open science community event. One of the highlights of our participation was the panel discussion “FAIR Data for AI and AI for FAIR Data”, featuring our esteemed speaker, Michael Goedicke. This session delved into the transformative potential of FAIR data in artificial intelligence, exploring how they enable transparency and reproducibility in AI-driven research. It also underscored how AI tools can facilitate the creation and management of FAIR data.
Our second contribution was hosting an interactive unconference session titled “No Data Without Software!” This interactive format encouraged an open and engaging discussion about the often-overlooked importance of software in research processes. This session affirmed the necessity of recognizing software as a vital research output.
