NFDI Talk: Introduction to Research Data Management Containers
On April 20th, an NFDI Talk was held on the topic “Research Data Management Containers and How Bundling Data with Its Execution Context Is Key to Achieving Reproducibility.”
As research data and related software grows in complexity, the need for portable and standardized management solutions becomes critical. Since there is no data without (research) software we provide the Research Data Management Container (RDMC), a framework designed to encapsulate data especially with its necessary software and execution context. This ensures long-term reusability and may ease the reproducibility in many cases.
The speakers discussed how RDMC supports the NFDI mission by enhancing data FAIRness especially and streamlining cross-disciplinary collaboration.
We would like to thank the speakers Prof. Dr. Michael Goedicke, Safial Islam Ayon, Anh Duc Vu, Lars Florian Meiendresch, and NFDI (German National Research Data Infrastructure) for the initiative.
You can find the recorded Livestream on YouTube.
