SUMMARY:Seventh NFDIxCS Plenary Meeting in Essen
DESCRIPTION:The Seventh Plenary Meeting of NFDIxCS takes place from 21 to 2
 2 April 2026 in Essen. Around 50 consortium members come together to discus
 s the current state of activities and to coordinate the next development st
 eps within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI
 ).\n\nThe two-day programme combines plenary sessions with interactive work
 shop formats, fostering in-depth exchange across task areas. Discussions fo
 cus on both strategic and technical aspects of building a sustainable and F
 AIR-aligned research data infrastructure for computer science. One of the k
 ey topics will be the overall architecture of the central service of NFDIxC
 S: the Research Data Management Container (RDMC). \n\nBeyond technical prog
 ress reports, the plenary provides a collaborative space for cross-discipli
 nary dialogue and joint problem-solving. By bringing together diverse exper
 tise from across the consortium, the meeting supports coordinated service d
 evelopment and contributes to the consolidation of best practices in resear
 ch data and software management within computer science.
