SUMMARY:RDMC Hackathon Göttingen 2025
DESCRIPTION:The RDMC Hackathon takes place from 21–22 January 2025 at the p
 remises of the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göt
 tingen (GWDG). The two-day working meeting brings together members of the N
 FDIxCS consortium to focus intensively on technical milestones related to t
 he Research Data Management Container (RDMC).\n\nThe primary objective of t
 he hackathon is to advance the RDMC development roadmap, including the prep
 aration of an alpha release of the RDMC Creation Wizard. Key development ta
 sks address the integration of structured questionnaires, improvements to t
 he container creation workflow, and mechanisms for securely sealing and ver
 ifying RDMC instances. In addition, participants work on strengthening inte
 roperability between the RDMC and connected evaluation and publication envi
 ronments.\n\nThe programme combines structured plenary sessions with concen
 trated development phases, allowing participants to prototype solutions, re
 fine workflows, and define concrete next steps. Particular attention is giv
 en to metadata handling, user interface design for linking research artifac
 ts, and verification processes that support transparency and reproducibilit
 y.\n\nBy concentrating collaborative expertise in a focused hackathon forma
 t, the meeting contributes directly to the technical consolidation of the R
 DMC and supports the broader objective of establishing a robust, FAIR-align
 ed infrastructure for research data management in computer science.
