 e communication.\n\nThe talk will explore challenges related to the long-te
 rm usability of research software and introduce an approach that combines D
 ocker and Guix to preserve functionality and ensure reproducibility. A cent
 ral element of the case study is REEuse, a tool developed to automate the c
 reation and execution of reproducible environments based on a manifest file
