Description

NFDIxCS takes part in the Presidium Meeting of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e. V. (GI), where representatives present and discuss the particular research data management (RDM) requirements of computer science sub-disciplines. The session underscores how disciplinary diversity within computer science shapes expectations for sustainable data infrastructures and FAIR practices.

During the meeting, NFDIxCS outlines key challenges and priorities that emerge from its work with stakeholders across the computer science landscape. The consortium’s contribution emphasises the importance of tailored RDM approaches that take into account methodological variety, software-centric research processes, and evolving standards for data reuse and documentation.

By engaging with the GI Presidium, NFDIxCS strengthens its connections with the broader German informatics community and helps inform strategic perspectives on the development of research data infrastructures that recognise and support the specific characteristics of computer science research.
