SUMMARY:Fifth NFDIxCS Plenary Meeting in Potsdam
DESCRIPTION:The Fifth Plenary Meeting of NFDIxCS takes place from 31 March 
 to 1 April 2025 in Potsdam. Around 50 consortium members come together to d
 iscuss the current state of activities and to coordinate the next developme
 nt steps within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure 
 (NFDI).\n\nThe two-day programme combines plenary sessions with interactive
  workshop formats, fostering in-depth exchange across task areas. Discussio
 ns focus on both strategic and technical aspects of building a sustainable 
 and FAIR-aligned research data infrastructure for computer science. Key top
 ics include approaches to data extraction from scientific texts, the applic
 ation of generative AI for semantic classification, the development of doma
 in-specific metadata schemes, and the refinement of operational workflows f
 or Research Data Management Containers (RDMCs). The integration of metadata
  systems into broader knowledge graph structures is also addressed.\n\nBeyo
 nd technical progress reports, the plenary provides a collaborative space f
 or cross-disciplinary dialogue and joint problem-solving. By bringing toget
 her diverse expertise from across the consortium, the meeting supports coor
 dinated service development and contributes to the consolidation of best pr
 actices in research data and software management within computer science.
