5th NFDI Berlin Brandenburg Network Meeting with MaRDI
On 2 March 2027, MaRDI and NFDIxCS invite the NFDI consortia of Berlin and Brandenburg to Potsdam for a day on One NFDI and the synergies between them.
Description
The NFDI Berlin-Brandenburg Network Meetings bring together the NFDI consortia based in Berlin and Brandenburg. The consortia are at the heart of the series, and researchers, data stewards and research data professionals from every field are just as welcome. In its fifth edition, the meeting comes to the University of Potsdam, Campus Griebnitzsee, co-hosted by MaRDI and NFDIxCS.
The topic of this edition is “One NFDI: Synergies in Berlin-Brandenburg”. The meeting turns to the NFDI as a whole and to the synergies that should be showcased and further developed. Such synergies can take many forms, for example when consortia share research software and data, build on a common architecture and base services, or shape governance together.

Call for Participation
We would like to shape the day together with you and invite contributions to two parts of the programme. Expressions of interest are welcome until 15 January 2027 via the registration form.
Impulses on One NFDI
The morning session opens with impulse talks that place One NFDI in context. They may address where the NFDI stands today, what the transition over the coming two years will entail, and which questions regarding services and governance lie ahead. Each impulse should last no longer than 15 minutes. The impulses lead into a World Café.
Please note that no more than two impulse slots are available. The organising team will select contributions according to their fit with the overall programme, and we may therefore not be able to accommodate every proposal.
Barcamps on Synergies
The barcamp follows an open format in which participants set the agenda. Sessions last 45 minutes and take place in two rounds, with several sessions running in parallel. Session hosts open with a brief input or guiding question and then moderate the discussion. The results will be presented in the closing session and documented in the meeting report on Zenodo.
Registration
Places are limited to 60 participants. Please register by 16 February 2027.
Getting there
The meeting takes place in Building 6 on Campus Griebnitzsee of the University of Potsdam, August-Bebel-Straße 89, 14482 Potsdam. The easiest way to get there is the S7 to Griebnitzsee station, from where the campus is a short walk.
