SUMMARY:4th NFDIxCS Symposium: RDM From Research to Sustainable Services
DESCRIPTION:NFDIxCS is one of the consortia within National Research Data I
nfrastructure (NFDI) and is dedicated to advancing sustainable, FAIR-compli
ant (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) infrastructures for man
aging research data and research software in computer science.\n\nA central
innovation within NFDIxCS is the Research Data Management Container (RDMC)
. The RDMC encapsulates research outputs, supports reproducibility and enab
les the long-term preservation of research artifacts in accordance with goo
d scientific practice.\n\nIn its fourth edition, the symposium aims to fost
er collaboration and integration of existing approaches within the NFDIxCS
context. We aim to bring together researchers, infrastructure providers and
practitioners to consolidate existing approaches and move toward operation
al services for RDM across computer science disciplines.\n\nTopics of Inter
est \n\nWe welcome contributions addressing, but not limited to:\n\n Resea
rch data and software management infrastructures (platforms, architectures
and archiving systems) Metadata standards, registries and persistent ident
ifiers (PIDs) Semantic annotations, ontologies and machine-actionability o
f research artifact Middleware and services enabling integration of artifa
ct workflows into research infrastructures Containerization approaches and
workflows for reproducible research and execution environments Evaluation
process, standards, and best practices of research artefact (e.g. ACM arti
fact review and badging) Cross-disciplinary approaches, challenges and cul
tural barriers in adopting RDM practices International collaboration for g
lobal RDM services (e.g., EOSC, ESFRI, RDA, international stakeholders) Qu
ality assurance of sustainable services for research data and research soft
ware management \n\nSubmission guidelines \n\nAuthors are invited to submit

be peer-reviewed by the symposium committee and will be evaluated based on
their relevance and alignment with the symposium themes. \n\nEach accepted
contribution will be allocated 30 minutes (20-min presentation + 10-min in
