Myra B. Cohen
is Professor and the Lanh and Oanh Nguyen Chair in Software Engineering in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. Her research focuses on software testing and the self-adaptation of complex systems such as highly-configurable, embedded, or cyber-physical software. She also designs testing techniques for emerging domains including bioinformatics software, molecular programs, and quantum computing.
She is an ACM Distinguished Scientist, an IEEE Senior Member, a Better Scientific Software Fellow, and a Fellow of Automated Software Engineering. In 2025, she received the IEEE Technical Council on Software Engineering Barbora Bühnová Leadership Award for Women in Science and Engineering. She has served in leading roles for major international conferences, including as General Chair of the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE 2015) and as Program Co-Chair of ICST 2019, ESEC/FSE 2020, and ISSTA 2025.

Neil Chue Hong
is Professor of Research Software Policy and Practice at EPCC, University of Edinburgh, and the founding Director and Principal Investigator of the Software Sustainability Institute, the UK’s national facility for research software. His work focuses on software sustainability, research software policy, and community development, advocating for software as a fundamental research output.
He co-chairs the FORCE11 Software Citation Implementation Working Group, the RDA Software Source Code Interest Group, and the FAIR for Research Software Working Group. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Open Research Software and serves on numerous national and international advisory boards, including the UKRI/Met Office ExCALIBUR Steering Committee, the BBSRC Transformative Technologies Strategic Advisory Panel, the Helmholtz Federated IT Services Scientific Advisory Board, and the OECD Expert Group on Digital Skills for Science.

Daniel S. Katz
is Chief Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and Research Professor in the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science and in the School of Information Sciences (iSchool) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His work spans advanced cyberinfrastructure, parallel and distributed computing, and, more recently, research software policy, citation and credit practices, and community organization in computational research.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, a founding editor and Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Open Source Software, and co-founder of the US Research Software Engineer Association (US-RSE) and the Research Software Alliance (ReSA). He has served in numerous leadership roles across the international computing community, including on the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors and the FORCE11 Board of Directors, as well as in steering and program committees for major conferences worldwide.
